So everyone has an "About Me" page full of all kinds of cool things they did like climbing a mountain, or accepting a Nobel prize ... problem is, I'm boring!  So, feel free to read on, but I'm not promising anything!

I grew up in the very hot and freezing cold N.W. Indiana.  Ya, really hot and humid in the summer, and really cold and snowy in the winter.  Went to school like everybody else (what'd I tell you, boring) starting at kindergarten.  It wasn't until around 9th grade that it dawned on me how absolutely cool school was.  Gotta give credit for that to my teachers at the time - absolutely phenomenal teachers who had a passion for what they were teaching.  I had always loved reading, and learning things growing up, but now school was fun!

My senior year I took the ACT and SAT tests (again, just like everybody else).  Did pretty well on them, and was offered several great scholarships for college.   Currently I'm going to school for computer engineering and aerospace engineering.  I also work as a web developer as well.  I work for CNP Integrations, a development firm out of Massachusetts specializing in Joomla! Development.

One of my passions is the Joomla! Project.  One of the greatest communities and projects I've been able to work with.  You can find me in many places in the Joomla! Project including writing Joomla! Documentation, answering questions in the Joomla! Forums, and writing for the Joomla! Community Magazine.  I also do work for the Joomla! Bug Squad as well as various other projects and initiatives started by community members.

Have I told you about my hero yet?  No?  Everyone has a hero, right?  I had the opportunity to know my hero very well.  He was my little brother, James.  James was born when I was 9.  When he was 11 months old we found out that he had a brain tumor, a very large on in fact.  James went through treatment after treatment for 12, almost 13 years.  He and I were close, we did everything together from reading books, to camping in the back yard.  What surprised so many people was that if you didn't know he had a brian tumor, you'd never even know he was sick most of the time!  He definitely didn't let anything stop him from living life!  In fact, I'd have to say he was probably the bravest person I know.  On November 21, 2010 James passed away.  Throughout the years, my mom kept a blog updating people about James.  If you want to read about someone that was fearless, and caring, check it out!
